About this trip

Bhutan in five days for people who cannot take a week off. It skips Punakha and keeps two nights at Paro so the Tiger's Nest hike is not squeezed. Permits are filed by us at Phuentsholing on the morning of day two.

    Bagdogra to Phuentsholing (The Border Town)

    Your quick Bhutan getaway begins with a pick-up at Bagdogra Airport or NJP Railway Station, followed by a comfortable drive to Phuentsholing, the lively town at the Indo-Bhutan border. On arrival, cross over and check in on the Bhutan side, then hand over your documents so we can begin the permit formalities on your behalf. Spend the evening easing into Bhutanese culture with a visit to the peaceful Zangtopelri Lhakhang temple and a stroll through the local market.

  2. Day2

    Permit Formalities & Drive to Thimphu

    After breakfast, we complete the immigration formalities (all guests must be present in person for the permit). Once your permits are stamped, set off on the scenic climb out of the foothills, winding up through Gedu and the mighty Chukha valley to Thimphu, Bhutan's charming capital. On arrival, check in and unwind before an evening at the iconic Clock Tower Square and the nearby craft bazaar — a great spot to browse authentic Bhutanese handicrafts.

  3. Day3

    Thimphu Sightseeing & Drive to Paro

    Spend the morning exploring the highlights of Thimphu — the magnificent Buddha Dordenma statue gazing over the valley, the revered Memorial Chorten, the impressive Tashichho Dzong (the seat of government), and the Takin Preserve, home to Bhutan's quirky national animal. If your visit falls on a Saturday or Sunday, don't miss the vibrant weekend market. In the late afternoon, drive across to the beautiful valley of Paro and check in for a two-night stay.

  4. Day4

    The Tiger's Nest Hike & Paro Sightseeing

    Today is the highlight of your trip — the hike up to the legendary Taktsang Monastery, the Tiger's Nest, dramatically perched on a cliff high above the Paro valley. The climb takes around two to three hours, with a welcome cafeteria at the halfway point offering refreshments and a stunning first view of the monastery. In the afternoon, explore the elegant Rinpung Dzong, the National Museum, and the atmospheric old town of Paro at a relaxed pace.

    Paro to Bagdogra

    After breakfast, make an early start for the drive back down to the border, completing the exit formalities at Phuentsholing before continuing on to Bagdogra Airport or NJP Railway Station. As this is a long travel day, we recommend booking any flights after 6 PM to ensure a relaxed, unhurried journey home — leaving you with unforgettable memories of the Land of the Thunder Dragon.

Terms & conditions
  1. Booking is confirmed only after an advance of 30% is received; the balance is payable on arrival.
  2. Rates are for the number of passengers quoted. Adding a guest may change the vehicle and the rate.
  3. Hotels are subject to availability at the time of booking; a similar category hotel is provided if the named one is full.
  4. Protected-area permits need a valid photo ID for every guest (voter ID, passport or driving licence; Aadhaar alone is not accepted in Sikkim).
  5. Children below 5 years travel free without a bed. Children 5 to 11 years are charged 60% with an extra bed.
  6. Sightseeing beyond the itinerary is charged extra on a per-day basis.
  7. North Sikkim, Nathu La and the Silk Route depend on daily road and permit conditions; if a road is closed we suggest the nearest alternative and no refund is applicable.
  8. Cancellation: 15 days or more before travel 20% is retained, 7 to 14 days 50%, less than 7 days 100%.
