NH10 in monsoon: what a landslide day actually looks like

NH10 between Sevoke and Rangpo is the main artery into Sikkim, and monsoon closes stretches of it several times a season. Knowing this before you travel changes how you plan the week, not just the day.

What actually happens on a closure day

Border Roads and the local administration clear debris and open the road in controlled convoys once it is safe. Our dispatcher tracks this in real time and usually knows before the news does, because the drivers on the road report back directly.

The alternate routes

Where possible we reroute through Rangpo or Melli. These add time but keep the trip moving. When the road is fully shut, we help you rebook hotel nights rather than have you wait it out roadside.
